Mangaluru, Aug 23: A case stands registered in the rural police station here against the wife of an auto rickshaw driver, who had hanged himself inside his three-wheeler. The wife was booked on the basis of the suicide note left behind by her husband.
The body of Suresh (28), a native of Kadthala near Karkala, was found hanging inside his auto rickshaw that was parked near Mangaljyoti at Vamanjoor in the outskirts of the city on Friday August 21 morning.
The police, during their inspection, had recovered a suicide note in which Suresh claimed that his wife always inflicted mental torture on him by suspecting him to be in illicit relationship with somebody. He said he was always looked upon with suspicion by his wife, and she used to raise a din by resenting whatever he did. He also claimed in the letter that he had been frustrated because of these developments, and hence, decided to end his life.
She has been booked under provisions relating to abetment to suicide.
