Emraan 'thanks' all for 'Tigers' response


Mumbai, Aug 24 (IANS): Actor Emraan Hashmi, who has made his international debut with the film "Tigers", is feeling overwhelmed by the response to the film and has "thanked" his fans for supporting him.

Directed by Danis Tanovic "Tigers", the film was screened at the London Indian Film Festival last month.

Emraan shared on micro-blogging website Twitter that he would keep everyone posted on the exact release date in India.

"Thank you all for the support and the trend. 'Tigers' has got a fantastic response at festivals. keep you posted on exact India release date," the "Ghanchakkar" actor tweeted.

The drama film also features Geetanjali Thapa, Khalid Abdalla, Maryam d'Abo, Satyadeep Misra and Supriya Pathak.

Arjun, Kareena get 'cake smashed' on 'Ki and Ka' set

Actor Arjun Kapoor, currently shooting for R. Balki's romantic directorial "Ki and Ka", says he and his co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan got "cake smashed" on Monday morning.

The "Aurangzeb" star shared on micro-blogging website Twitter, a photograph of himself along with Kareena. Both the stars had chocolate cake on their faces as they posed for the camera.

"Forget Dubsmash we got Monday morning Cakesmash...cake fest for #KiandKa," Arjun tweeted.

The upcoming romantic film is about two people with contrasting ideologies.

While Arjun essays a progressive house husband, who lovingly supports his wife's ambitions, Kareena portrays a super ambitious career-oriented woman in the movie.

Lara Dutta 'balancing' between motherhood, movies

Actress Lara Dutta, who was shooting for the upcoming biopic "Azhar", says she enjoyed shooting for the biopic in London and that she is "balancing out" time for her daughter Saira.

Lara, who is married to tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, shared on micro-blogging website Twitter on Monday: "Have had a blast shooting some exciting scenes for 'Azhar' in London. Now balancing out some 'saira' time".

"Azhar", which also stars Emraan Haashmi, who will be seen as former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, is jointly produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures. The biopic is slated for a worldwide release on May 13, 2016.

Lara will next be seen in Prabhudheva's directorial "Singh Is Bliing", also starring Akshay Kumar. It is slated to hit the theatres on October 2.

Sushant used dialogues from 'DDLJ' for impressing girls

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput says he made many attempts to "impress girls in school" by mouthing superstar Shah Rukh Khan's dialogues from the iconic Bollywood romantic film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge".

The "Shuddh Desi Romance" actor took to micro-blogging website Twitter and wrote that it took him more than three attempts to get the popular "Palat..." dialogue right.

"Watching #DDLJ again and can't stop smiling... My fervent attempts to imitate and get @iamsrk dialogues correct to impress girls in school.

"It took me much more than three attempts to actually make it work," Sushant tweeted.

The actor shared a few other dialogues from the 1995 film, which also featured Kajol.

The 29-year-old actor is currently shooting for Indian cricketer MS Dhoni's biopic, where he is essaying the cricketer's character.
