Calvin Harris named world's highest paid DJ

London, Aug 25 (IANS): Calvin Harris has again been crowned the world's highest paid DJ by Forbes magazine after raking in a staggering $66 million last year.

The British music producer pulled in the same amount as the previous year to cement his standing in the list, reports mirror.co.uk.

He achieved the feat despite playing fewer shows - as he earned more for each appearance.

The 31-year-old also won the heart of girlfriend Taylor Swift and Forbes magazine described the duo as “the most powerful music power couple this side of Jay Z and Beyonce”.

Harris has come a long way from his roots in Dumfries in Scotland where he stacked shelves and worked in a fish processing factory to buy his first DJ gear.

Last year he topped the Forbes DJ list with $66 million in earnings and his career shows no sign of slowing down with regular gigs around the world, Forbes said.
