Mangaluru, Aug 25: Former KPCC secretary Mohammed Badruddin (58) died due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday August 25 at his friend's residence in Bengaluru.
Mohammed Badruddin was at the house of former MLC Saleem Mohammed as he was ailing from low blood sugar. He suddenly collapsed on Tuesday morning and was rushed to hospital, where he breathed his last.
He was a member of Congress party for more than 40 years, and served as former president of NSUI. He was also secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Cogress Committee (KPCC) and currently he was KPCC member.
Mohammed Badruddin leaves behind his wife and daughter.
"The sudden death of senior Congress leader Mohammed Badruddin has saddened and shocked all of us. He was a leader of service, expected no lavish lifestyle. He lived in a rented house and fully dedicated his life to the Congress party and served the society wholeheartedly. We miss him deeply," stated the district Congress in a press release.
Congress leaders Oscar Fernandes, Janardhan Poojary, Veerappa Moily, Ramanath Rai, UT Kadher, Vijay Kumar, Abhaychandra Jain, J R Lobo, Mohiuddin Bawa, Shakuntala shetty, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Vasanth Bangera and others Congress leaders and party workers expressed condolences.
