Mangalore, Jun 20: India needs dedicated and young work force to be among the first two or three nations of the world, said Mumbai-based Global Intelenet Services CEO Sushir Kumar here on Tuesday June 19.

Inaugurating the SDM College of Business Management's new premises here, he put forth five tips to the management students for success, some of which were to build a vision for oneself, set a goal for five years down the line and work hard for the goal because there is no short cut to success. At the same time, think of how best one can do the things that are required of one, he advised/

Sushir was adjudged the best CEO of the country recently. An alumnus of the college, he gave credit to the college for inculcating in him values and skills and developing in him a sense of bonding with his classmates that helped him to grow to this level.

Speaking on the occasion University vice-chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa lamented that there had been a scarcity of skilled human resource in India. He expressed his unhappiness that only 4.6 per cent of the Indian youth enrolled for higher studies last year as against the 7.5 per cent in 1995 – 96. 

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade presided over the programme.
