Trisha loses oodles of weight for horror-comedy flick Nayaki

Chennai, Aug 25: Actress Trisha Krishnan who was recently in the news following the breaking of her engagement with Varun Manian, has worked hard to lose a lot of weight for her next movie, Nayaki. The movie is a Tamil-Telugu horror comedy flick and Trisha is said to be essaying the role of a 20-year old girl in the movie.

About the 30 year old actress, director Govi says, "Trisha will be seen playing a 20-year-old. She has been preparing herself to look much younger over the last couple of months. I didn't have to tell her how she should look for the character. When I narrated the story, she understood what was expected from her to do justice to the role."

The narration of the story is said to oscillate between the 1980's and the present day and so Trisha is often seen dressed as women in the 80's as well. Expanding further on Trisha's work in the film, Govi said, "Although there's a male lead in the film, Trisha is my hero. I'm her biggest fan and I've always wanted to make a film with her. It took her only 10 minutes to accept the offer. She will be singing a three-minute promo song. One minute of the song will be used as the title track and the rest of it will feature in the film."

Model-turned-actor Ganesh Venkat Raman plays the male lead opposite Trisha in the film. The cast includes, Jayaprakash, Satyam Rajesh, Brahmanandam and Sentrayan . Govi also revealed that 98% of the film was comedy while only 2% was horror anad the he was introducing Rajesh to Tamil audiences just as he was introducing Sentrayan to the Telugu film industry. 60 percent of the film is expected to be shot in Chennai and the rest in Hyderabad.
