Udupi, Jun 24: The Prithvi Institute of Management Education (PRIME), a training centre for IAS and KAS aspirants was inaugurated here on Saturday, June 23 by the Sode Mutt's Sri Vishwottama Theertha Swamiji.
Director of the Institute Prof Acharya welcomed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, district In charge minister Dr V S Acharya demanded that the bureaucrats in the administrative services must change their mindset. He advised the aspirants not to wait till the present bureaucrats change their mindsets but to bring about change in the system, once they joined the government service. He also urged the promoters to include soft skill and strategic decision making skills in the syllabus.
Other speakers who spoke on the occasion were former High Commissioner of India to Pakistan, K Dayananda Avadhani, U V Bhat, ISRO scientist E Janardan, and Srinivas Acharya. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ratnakumar.
