Mangalore, Jun 25: In a gruesome incident, a woman killed her brother-in-law at Alampuri in Navooru village of Bantwal taluk on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ishwara (29).
According to police, a certain Sundari killed her brother-in-law by assaulting him with a sickle over a property dispute.
Ms Sundari had lost her husband few years ago and her brother-in-law was demanding share in the land belonging to her husband.
It is suspected that she assaulted him when he was returning from a function at neighbour’s house. As it was raining heavily, he could not be rushed to the hospital. Police suspect that he must have been died of excessive bleeding. Police have arrested Sundari.

Some unidentified miscreants gained entry into a house decamped with golden and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh at Shivabhagh in Mangalore on Saturday.
