Bantwal, Jun 25: A four-year-old boy died of falling into a pond at Mucchirapadav in Peruvai village, on Sunday June 25.
The police informed that, the boy, Yathish (4) son of Subba Naik of Mucchirapadav died when he accidentally fell into the pond which is located near his grand father’s house where he had gone to play.
Sources claimed that Yathish might have slipped off the bund beside the pond. On the other hand his parents began searching for him since he did not return home for long. It was late in the evening that Yathish's body was found floating in the pond.
Vittal police have registered a case in this regard.
