New Delhi, Jun 26: Hotel Heiress and socialite Paris Hilton can finally breathe easy.
On Tuesday morning, Paris was released after a 23-day stay at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Californiain prison.
She had been serving time for reckless driving on a suspended licence and for violating terms of her probation.
There is now virtually a media war on for an interview with her. The NBC is reportedly willing to cough up $1 million to talk to the heiress.
In interviews given from jail, Hilton has talked about shedding her Party Girl image and changing her attitude towards life.
However, her stay in jail proved to be almost as eventful as her life outside. One can't help but admire her socialising streak, as Paris transferred the party scene to her jail, what with visits from her sister Nicky and even her ex-beau Stavros Niarchos.
All this happened after Paris was ordered back to prison after a short break due to medical reasons. Thanks to her ‘good behaviour’, Paris had to serve only half of her 45-day jail term.
Before turning herself to the jail authorities, here’s what she had to say, “I am trying to be strong right now. I am definitely really scared, but I am ready to face my sentence and even though this is a really hard time, I have my friends, family and fans there to support me. That's been very helpful in this really scary time."
"I did have a choice to go to a pay jail but I declined because I feel that the media portrays me in a way that I am not. And that's why I wanted to go to county and show that I can do it. I want to be treated like everyone else and if I am going to do time, then I am going to do it the right way," she added.
Paris was housed in a 12-foot-by-8-foot cell and there were restrictions imposed on her- no cell phones, no recreation and no makeup.
Now let's see now if she continues with her ‘simple life’ or goes back to the high life after serving her term.
