Mangalore, Jun 28: Cables measuring nearly 360 meters in length was stolen from the premises of Yenepoya Moidin Kunhi Memorial Education and Charitable trust at Jappinamogru village near here recently.
The cables belonged to B Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Bikarnakatte near here.
The value of the stolen cables is estimated at Rs 2.55 lac.
A case has been registered in the rural police station.
Suicide
Mangalore, Jun 28: A resident of Bakimaru in Karkala taluk of Udupi district committed suicide by jumping in to a well near Nehru Nagar in Kabaka village of Puttur taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Sri Harsha (20). The reason is not known yet, although it is suspected that some personal problems may have led Harsha to commit suicide.
A case has been registered in Puttur town police station.
Injured
Managlore, Jun 28: Two persons who were going on a motorcycle sustained injuries when a bus collided near Ambedkar circle near here recently.
The injured have been identified as Devaraj, a resident of Babugudde Attavar who was riding the bike and Gopalakrishna, who was the pillion rider.
A case in this regard has been filed by the police.
