Mangaluru, Sep 7: Mandd Sobhann has invited applications and recommendations for the 7th Global Konkani Music Awards.

The awards will be given in 6 categories, which are:

1 Best Singer (Female) – 2014
2 Best Singer (Male) – 2014
3 Best Lyricist – 2014
4 Best Music Composer – 2014
5 Best Music Arranger – 2014
6 Best Music Album – 2014

Any Konkani vocal music album released in the year 2014, by anyone, belonging to any religion, from any part of the world, in any dialect of Konkani, is eligible for these Awards.

Each Award consists of Rs 25,000, the coveted title, a trophy and public honour.

Applications and nominations should reach Mandd Sobhann by September 30.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 13 this year at Kalaangann.

    Wishing the organisers ( Kalaangan / Mandd Sobhann ) the very best always. They are doing a marvelous job in promoting Konkani, its tradition and culture.
