Mangaluru, Sep 9: The Mangaluru branch of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) will host a three-day realty expo in Mumbai from September 11 to September 13 as a brand building activity and to increase investment in Mangaluru, informed D B Mehta, president of CREDAI Mangaluru.
Addessing a press meet here on September 9, Mehta said, "Mangalureans in Mumbai are much interested to invest in Mangaluru, and hence, CREDAI is holding a property show in Mumbai to cater to the South Canara populace there.
"The three-day event will be held at Buntara Sangha located at Kurla, Mumbai which is a popular place with most of the South Canara community.
"Mangaluru city is blessed with an international airport, major port and a very important railway station. The Smart City project would bring in an investment of Rs 1,000 crore from the government to develop infrastructure that will enable different elements of Smart City. Experts claim that barring the Smart City project projects approximately worth over Rs 30,000 crore are already sanctioned towards industries in Mangaluru, and work is already ongoing in some of the industrial projects. The cumulative investment when taken into consideration would increase housing demand, improve job opportunities, generate new business opportunities, facilitate urbanization and improve lifestyle," he said.
"Keeping in view these positive development happening, CREDAI is staging a property expo in Mumbai to give an opportunity to the Mangaluru and Udupi community living in Mumbai to purchase properties in their hometown.
