Beltangady: Missing man found dead in pit at Melantabettu

Beltangady, Sep 13: A man who went missing a few days back was found dead in a pig waste pit in a private property at Melantabettu here on Sunday September 13.

The deceased has been identified as Tamuni Mugera (48), a resident of Baradody, Melantabettu, Beltangady.

It is said that Tamuni had gone missing around four days ago and his family members were searching for him.

On Sunday morning, during the search, one of the members of the search party removed the lid of the pit and found Tamuni's body inside.

The 8-ft deep pig waste pit is located in a property belonging to one John Rodrigues, and is said to be usually covered with a lid.

Tamuni is survived by wife and a 10-year-old son. The circumstances of his death are yet to be ascertained.

Beltangady police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

    suspicious.why the fellow went to search him in this pit ?Did he had some Connection to this area?only when one knows the circumstances then go there as a specialist.May his Soul rest in peace.Am sure he died a unnatural death.Heartfelt sympathys to his Family.
