Bengaluru: BKCS holds annual general body meeting

Bengaluru, Sep 15: Bangalore Konkani Catholic Sangh (BKCS) held its annual general body meeting on September 13 at St Anthony’s Friary Church parish hall. The mass in Konkani was celebrated by Fr Rocky D'Cunha and Fr Alphonse Moras with 180 Konkani Catholics participants.















“As a Christian we must unite and render our service to society without expecting profit as Jesus Christ taught us through his lifestyle. He lived a very simple life but delivered ever shine message to the world which is applicable even in this modern era. Through our selless service we can build a strong organization and show to society that we are united in faith,” Fr Rocky D'Cunha said.

Alwyn Corea lead the choir and the team was enthralled by the audience for its performance on the occasion.

William Pinto, president BKCS welcomed the gathering. Alwyn Rasquinha, secretary presented the annual report and thereafter requested the members to actively take part in all the events conducted by the association. Members who recently joined the association were introduced by the chair and welcomed by the president and other office bearers. During the meeting suggestions were welcomed by the president.

The gathering observed a minute's silence for the departed souls of fellow members of the association and chance was given to members to share their feelings about late Charles D’Souza. Alwyn Rasquinha delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with high lunch which was prepared by the youth and members of the association.

Alban was the master of ceremonies for the programme. William Pinto, president, Leo Sequeira vice-president, Alwyn Rasquinha, secretary and Menderline Machado, former president were seated on the stage.
