Udupi, Sep 15: Children of various age groups, showcased their talents in ‘JC Raja- Rani 2015’ during a programme ‘Sapthaha 2015’ on Sunday, September 13 at Soundarya Residency in Udyavar.
JCI Udayavar, Kuthpady zone XV, region ‘C’ organized the programme which was inaugurated by Y Sukumar director, JCI foundation, JCI India.
Addressing the gathering, Y Sukumar, said, “The whole world is a family and we have to live here like brothers and sisters with mutual understanding. Only then, one can live in peace and harmony. If a person wants to do his work independently and grow, we will help him in his endeavour. One has to follow the law and orders to maintain social harmony,"
“There is no use of searching for a precious thing around when it is within you and you do not realize it. It is said that service to humanity is the best work of life. JCI also follows the same rule. Serving humanity is the first priority for us at JCI.” Sukumar added.
Ravi Katpady who donated more than Rs 3 lac to needy children by dressing as ‘Lizard man’ to collect donation during Ashtami was felicitated on the occasion.
A scholarship was also distributed for students who excelled in their studies on the same occasion.
Hundreds of children participated in the programme and made the programme a success. A competition for children was held on the occasion with criteria being their dress codes, way of communication, singing talents, dancing and brain storming questions. The competition was conducted in three phases.
All the winners received amazing gift vouchers during the prize distribution ceremony.
‘JCI Raja, Rani Competition’ was the attraction of the programme which was conducted for different age group children.
The winners of the competition are as follows: JC Raja (1- 6 years)- 1st place– Manaswin, 2nd place–Pawan. JC Rani (1- 6 years)- 1st place – Anwi, 2nd place–Chaithali G Shet. JC Raja (7-10 years)-1st place–Akshay Bhat, 2nd place–Dhanraj. JC Rani (7-10 years)- 1st place–Delina Aroza, 2nd place–Tanushree Judges special prize – Vijetha.
JC Raja (11 -14 years)- 1st place-Rayan D’souza, 2nd place–Manish. JC Rani (11–14 years)- 1st place– Sharanya Bhat, 2nd place–Bhoomika.
Suresh Shetty Gurme, Industrialist, Lioness Nirupama Prasad, District Lioness organizer, actors of Tulu movie ‘Jai Tulunad’ Avinash Shetty and Sonal, JC Santhosh C vice president JC Zone XV – region ‘C’, JC Suketh , JC Rt Jovita Crasta , President JC Rt, JC Steevan Colaco chief director JC Saptha were present for the event.
JC Roshan Crasta, president JC Zone XV – region ‘C’ welcomed the gathering and JC Jagadesh Kumar secretary of JC Zone XV – region ‘C’ extended the vote of thanks. JC Rajendra Bhat compered the programme.
