Udupi, Sep 15: After a gap of about a month, new additional deputy commissioner of the district took over charge on Monday September 14.
K Chennabasappa, who was hitherto working as deputy commissioner (administration) of Shivamogga city corporation, took over as the additional deputy commissioner of the district.
It may be recalled that Sadashiva Prabhu, who was functioning as additional deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, had taken over as the additional deputy commissioner of the district on August 12. However, he received transfer orders the same day, posting him to Yadagiri district. Thereafter, he proceeded on leave. In modification of earlier orders, Prabhu has now been posted as special deputy commissioner for Hubballi-Ankola railway broad-gauge project with headquarters at Karwar.
