Kuwait: Enthralling KCWA Summer Fete 2007

Kuwait, Jul 7: It was a Hot summer day turned into cool leisure day at IEAS auditorium as Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) held its first Fancy fete event in aid of Poor Children’s Education Fund. It was a celebration full of fun n frolic as everyone enjoyed the numerous game stalls, DJ music and food stalls.
The day long fete began at 9:30 am with a prayer led by Rinna D’Souza and compere of the day Steven Machado welcomed the gathering. All the hard work put in by the committee members was very evident, as the whole day’s program was very well organized and the crowd enjoyed every moment of the day.
There were variety of game stalls for all ages along with many Housie housie games. Auction of Banana bunches & Jackfruits, specially brought from Mangalore for the event, attracted the attention most. The food stalls with delicious and mouth watering Mangalorean, Indian & Chinese specialities were the most happening places.
Non-stop entertainment was provided by DJ Scorpions with youngsters frequenting for request songs. Dance session was held towards the end. Steven Machado compered the whole show to perfection.
The charity event also included old clothes collection, wherein lot of people were seen donating clothes, which KCWA intends to donate to deserving orphanages in Mangalore Diocese.
A truly entertaining day was concluded at 6:30 pm.
