Fujairah, Sep 16: The Konkani speaking people of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Fujairah celebrated Monthi Fest on Friday 11 September 2015 under the banner of Canara Catholics Fujairah.
The new corn was blessed before the mass. Fr Prakash Lobo was the main celebrant. After the mass the children went in procession and showered the flowers in front of the statue of infant Mary as the congregation sang the Marian hymns.
People then gathered in the church hall where the new corn was served to all. The President of CCF, Melwin Vas welcomed the gathering. Fr Sagayaraj, the Parish Priest of Fujairah Church appreciated the Mangalorean community for their unity and active participation in the Church activities.
Hymns, songs and dances were presented by the members of CCF.
Delicious vegetarian food, prepared by the committee members was served to all the attendees.
