Monthi Fest: Konkan Bells - UAE

Dubai, Sep 17: Konkan Bells - UAE, an association of 10 parishes of Beltangady deanery celebrated nativity feast of Mother Mary in grand manner at Hotel Bangalore Empire Restaurant, Karama, Dubai on September 1.

Konkani activist and promoter Naveen Sequiera was chief guest of function. The program started at 6:30 pm and Priest of Saint Mary's Church, Dubai Fr Robert Lasrado conducted the prayer ceremony and blessed all gathered. Children showered the flowers to Infant Mary and parents of children participated in ceremony.

A formal stage programme was organised by the cultural committee of the Konkan Bells. Walter Pereira, the Advisor of this association, Letitia Pereira were the guests of honour. Roshan Pinto welcomed all the gathering with his short welcoming speech. There was a power point presentation done about the Konkan Bells Association and all its charity deeds from its inception.

Cultural programme included skit, dances and singing. Rocel and his team entertained the crowd with their melodious music. Vote of thanks was rendered by Flavia Almeida.

Rowena Pereira hosted the programme. The celebration concluded with traditional Novem Jevan.
