Engineers’ day celebrated in Udupi

Udupi, Sep 21: On the occasion of birth remembrance of Bharath Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya, members of the association of consulting civil engineers and architects, Udupi celebrated ‘Engineers’ day’ recently at Ammani Ramanna Shetty hall.


























Dr Shantharam Somayaji inaugurated the programme and said "We should work with the dedicated mind. And then only we will get fruitful results for our efforts."

On the occasion superintendent of police of Udupi Annamalai was present as the chief guest. He said in his message "Everyone should be honest and punctual in profession, Invention of new things will help in the national development."

Nagesh Hedge, President of the engineers associations, presided over the function.

Senior engineers U K Raghavendra Rao and M S Prabhu were felicitated during the occasion.

Bhagavan Das gave introductory note, while Engineer Panduranga Achar and architect Yogish Chandradhar compered the programme. Gopal Bhat extended vote of thanks.
