Udupi, Sep 21: “Teaching is a noble vocation and is a service to mankind,” said Fr Dr Lawrence C D’Souza, secretary of Catholic Education Society, Udupi diocese at the Teachers Day programme organized by the management of St Mary’s and Don Bosco Institutions.

Coming together on the occasion of Teachers day helps to rededicate ourselves in our profession. The inspiration of a teacher is everlasting in the life of the student. A student never forgets a good teacher and never forgives a bad teacher. Behind every success in life in any profession, there is a teacher who is respected. Therefore teachers should be the role model for the students," he said on the occasion.

Fr Stany Tauro, correspondent of St Mary’s and Don Bosco Institutions said, "The management intends to recognise the services of teachers and appreciate them in this programme.
