Udupi, Sep 21: Dr Veerendra Heggade inaugurated the office of Paryayotsava welcome committee by lighting the lamp at Vijay Vittal hall near Pejawar Math here on Sunday September 20.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Heggade said, “The available time is very short and precious. Hostels and lodges which are located within 10 kilometres of city premises, will be used as guest houses for delegates. The hotel owners should cordially behave and cop with guests till the end of Paryaya”.
“Hore Kanike will be categorized in three phases to recognize everyone's gifts. The first one will be titled as 'Sudhama Kanike' (individual gifts), second will be the medium scale contributions and third phase will be named as 'Bhima Kanike', which comes in larger scale”.
“Paryaya Darbaru will be shifted from Rajangana to car street. This has not yet finalized by the Pejawar Swamiji”.
He informed that there would be committee meeting once in three weeks and Sarva Samiti meeting to be held once in 15 days. This would serve to build a good communication between volunteers.
Trustee of Dharmasthala further said, “Tourists expect discipline, good service, conveniences and sufficient parking space. There will be free transportation to avoid parking problems. Pejawar Swamiji will come back from Bangalore on October 1. After that a meeting will be held in connection to smooth moving of religious rituals about Paryaya”.
Many political and government personnel have come together for extending their service in order to make Paryaya event a grand success.
District-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake launched a website of Paryayotsava committee on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sorake said that he would seek sufficient grants from the government for this committee. “I am ready to work in a team as per the directions given by Dr Veerendra Heggade. We should make this event as a national event and also tell its historical significance to people”.
“In this historic milestone, we should involve not only people from the state but also attract people from all over the world”, he added.
A discussion was held on how to go about with preparation which starts from Pura Pravesha. Seating arrangements, parking system, food arrangement (Anna Prasadam), sanitation facility and other things were discussed in the meeting.
Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj said, “The whole nation is counting days for celebrating this auspicious event. I am always ready to provide services to the committee for the forthcoming event”.
In his address, Mohan Alva said, “Udupi has lack of space but the committee will manage the available space as much as possible. The committee is planning to give new shape with at most care”.
He assures that he will be a volunteer and work for the success of the programme. He further said that devotees have lot of expectation, presumption and interest about historical Paryaya celebration.
Mohan Alva assured that he will provide 10, 000 beds and bed sheets for the devotees.
