Padubidri, Jul 12: Thieves have all attempts to loot the Padubidri Agricultural Service Co-Op Bank on Wednesday July 11 night, but it was in vain.
The thieves entered the bank by carving a passage on the wall at the rear side. They tried frantically to break open the strong room where cash and jewellery, reportedly worth Rs 3 crore, had been stored.
All their attempts to break the strong room were unsuccessful. Interestingly, the alarm installed at the bank did not go off when the thieves entered the premises. Their failed attempt came to light when the bank was opened for business on Thursday, July 12.
It is said that the bank had not appointed any security personnel since, being close to the bus stand, the location was perceived to be very safe.
