Udupi: Valedictory ceremony of Rajatha Sambrama to be held on Oct 10

Udupi, Oct 8: "A two-day state-level photographers’ gathering and an international-level exhibition cum sale will be held as part of the valedictory ceremony of ‘Rajatha Sambrama-2015’,” said K Vasudev Rao, president, SKPA, at a press meet.


“The programme organized by South Kanara Photographers’ Association will start on Friday October 9 at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty auditorium. Urban development and district in-charge Vinay Kumar Sorake will inaugurate the programme. Karnataka minister for forests, ecology and environment B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the international level exhibition,” he added.

Rao further said that U T Khader, state health and family welfare minister, will release the souvenir while Abhayachandra Jain, state sports and youth affairs minister, will inaugurate the photographers’ gathering.

“Sri Sudhendhra Theertha Swami inaugurated ‘Rajatha Sambrama - 2015’ of SKPA eight months ago. There are 14 zones which include the area from Sullia to Byndoor and 3, 800 members in the association. In the international expo, imported digital photography equipment will be available from brands like Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Kodak amongst others. A vehicle rally has been organized from Clock Tower and this will be flagged off by SP Annamalai,” he said.

Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, MP Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Shobha Karandlaje, film music director Gurukiran, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Jayakar Suvarna, president, DWJAU and other dignitaries will be present at the programme.

The valedictory function will be held on Saturday October 10.
