Udupi, Oct 8: A 42-year-old head constable, attached to Karkala town police station, died due to cardiac arrest here on Thursday October 8.
The deceased, Santhosh Nittur from Udupi, had been working in the police department for the past 15 years.
On Thursday morning, Santhosh Nittur left from home to his workplace as usual, but on the way he suddenly developed severe chest pain. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Santhosh was deputed to the district crime investigation bureau (DCIB) of Udupi where he worked for many years. He also rendered his services in excise and anti-lottery squad in Udupi.
Santhosh is survived by his wife and a 5-year-old daughter.
