Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Oct 12: A student of a city-based medical college has been missing from over a week.

Dr Simon C Vincent (28), a first year postgraduate student of Father Muller Medical College at Kankanady here, has been missing since October 4.

It is said that Dr Simon had left at around 10.30 pm in the company of Dr Manjula and Dr Priya for dinner on October 4. He came back to the hospital after dinner, and then left for his hostel.

As he did not report for duty at 8 am the next day as scheduled, his classmates called him but his cellphone was switched off. His hostel room was not locked.

When contacted, his parents too were found to be not aware of his whereabouts. The efforts made by the police to trace him have failed so far.

Simon is the son of Dr C S Vincent, living opposite PWD Road, Chavakkad post, Trissur district, Kerala.

He has fair complexion, with a slim build and is 5'10" tall. He can speak English, Hindi and Malayalam. He was wearing a shirt with blue checks and black trousers at the time of going missing.

The Pandeshwar police in the city have requested people having any information about the missing student to contact city south police station (0824-2220518) or control room (0824-2220500).
