Prashanth Poojary, a flower vendor and a Bajrang Dal activist, was brutally murdered recently in broad daylight in Moodbidri. So far no arrest has been made in relation to the murder.
“Sangh Parivar has been repeatedly targeted In Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. The activists who oppose the illegal slaughtering of cattle are punished with murder treatment. State government is failing to contain this.” said Prahlad Joshi addressing the media.
“Police and the government are acting with prejudice and bias in the Prashanth Poojary murder case. Prashanth had revealed the names of persons who had attacked him before dying. No single person has been arrested yet. No senior police officer or police personnel have gone to the residence of murdered Prashanth Poojary to offer sympathies. Minister Abhayachandra Jain visited the shops which were damaged during the stone pelting. But he did not visit the house of the victim. The massive protest is held demanding justice in Prashanth Poojary murder case on October 20 in Mangaluru city.” Joshi added.
