Mangaluru, Oct 16: Nagesh (28) residing near KBS at Jokatte, Bykampady industrial area here, lost his life after his two-wheeler was knocked down by a bus on the night of Thursday October 15. He was an employee of a private firm.
The bus involved in the accident was moving towards Bykampady, while Nagesh was bound for Jokatte. The accident occurred near a bridge located a little distance away from Jokatte bus stand.
The body of the victim was badly mutilated in the accident. As there was inordinate delay in the arrival of ambulance to the spot, the people who had gathered expressed resentment about the body having remained unattended on the road for long. Police inspector of city (north) traffic station, Manjunath, and other personnel rushed to the spot and pacified the crowd.
