SDM College: A Moot court society 2007 will be inaugurated today at 10 am at College auditorium here by advocate Ranjan Rao and the chief guest on the occasion is the noted High Court advocate Sandhya Rao.

Oral hygiene day today: An ‘Oral Hygiene Day’ will be observed by the department of Periodontics of AJ Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore today at 9 pm. Its main aim is to ensure spreading of mass education on care of gums and teeth, diet, ill-effects of harmful habits and systematic health. The chief guest will be A J Shetty, president of Laxmi Memorial Educational Trust.

A programme of mass education in schools, colleges and general public, in the forms of lectures, distribution of pamphlets, audio-visual presentations and skit will be held on the occasion. 

Change of guard ceremony: Recently a change of guard ceremony for Mangalore round tables and ladies circle was held.

A cheque for Rs 4 lac was handed over to Dr Shantaram Baliga on the occasion. 

Fr Muller Medical College Hospital: An MBBS course for 2007-08 will be inaugurated by Mangalore University vice-chancellor prof. K M Kaveriappa at the Conference hall, College premises, Kankanady at 3 pm today. 

Sri Krishna Yakshasabha: Third day of ‘Yakshagana sapthaha’ of  Yakshagana on theme ‘Sri devi mahatme’ will be held at Town Hall, Mangalore at 5.30 pm onwards today.

Entry Banned in Airport: Entry to visitors to terminal building, Visitors gallery at Mangalore Airport has been banned from August 1 to 20. 

Aid of Bangalore bus passengers: In order to help passengers traveling to Bangalore and returning on the same day, KSRTC has introduced Volvo bus service at 6 am. 

This bus will reach Bangalore at 1.30 pm and start from Bangalore at 3.30 pm. The bus wil reach Mangalore at 10.30.pm as per a release.
