Mangalore, Aug 1: Prof M Kaveriappa, the vice-chancellor of Mangalore University inaugurated the MBBS course, for the academic year 2007-2008 batch, at Father Muller Medical Hospital here on Tuesday August 1.
 
Inaugurating the course, Kaveriappa said that profession of doctors is known as the noblest profession among all the professions as it deals with lives closely. "Therefore he/she in this profession should imbibe certain qualities like charity," he advised.
 
He appreciated the medical hospital for its charity and good works without any discrimination.

Dr Sanjeev Rai, dean of Father Muller Medical College welcomed the gathering. Dr Varadaraj Shenoy proposed vote of thanks while the administrator Fr Denis D'Sa introduced the dignitaries.
 
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of the institution was also present on the occasion.

  • The MULLERSCOPE – quarterly MBBS magazine was released
  • The TUFTS university – BOSTON (12) students from FMMC were awarded with their certificates
  • 2 parents from the audience spoke about their experience here
  • The official inaugration of the programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Varadraj Shenoy – Prof & HOD – Department of Peadiatrics
  • A 7-minute documentary on the developments of FMMC was shown to the parents & the students.
