Udupi, Aug 2: Electronic banking (e-banking) will make banking more convenient for customers, as it will make it possible to have a transaction from any where (in the world), informed department of commercial tax additional commissioner K Paramashiwaiah here on Wednesday, August 1.

Inaugurating the induction programme of BBM course (e-banking) at Manipal, Paramashiwaiah stated that introducing such a course for bringing about effective application and implementation is indeed admirable.

He opined that e-banking has its own boons and banes. As internet can be distorted by hackers, one must be very careful while using e-banking, he cautioned.

Dr H S Ballal pro-chancellor of Manipal University speaking on the occasion noted that industrial and economic developments complement each other and only e-banking will support it for the good. 

B Pramod general manager of Syndicate Bank, P Shivaram Bhat AGM of Corporation Bank, Vinod Bhat registrar of Manipal University and others were present.
