Mangalore, Aug 2: The inaugural function of Sarsa College of Arts and Science sponsored by Dr M V Shetty Memorial College will be held at, Kavoor Junction, here on Saturday August 4 at 5 pm, said Prof Flossy Mendonca, principal of the college in press conference here on Thursday August 2.

The course is offered with main intention of upholding the culture and tradition of India, he said.

The institution is recognized by the government of Karnataka, and affiliated to Mangalore University, she added. The course offered in the institution is career oriented too as it offers a unique combination of History and Sociology as complementary studies, according to the press release.

The course is not a dead-end discipline rather keeps the option of the higher studies like MA, research, MBA, MSW, B Ed and other courses to its students open, according to the press conference.
