Karkala, Aug 4: A driver was killed after getting entangled in a boulder-laden tractor at Nandalike near Belman here on Friday August 3 afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Hanumanthappa (31), a resident of Bagalkot who was working as driver in a tractor owned by a local. On Friday he was driving the tractor which was laden with boulders from a quarry. As the tractor was moving upwards on a slope, suddenly the rear position of the vehicle slipped. As a result the front portion of the tractor rose and Hanumanthappa was entangled between the rear and the front portion and died on the spot.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
