NDTV exit poll predicts majority for BJP-led alliance in Bihar

New Delhi, Nov 6 (PTI) : An exit poll on NDTV channel today predicted an edge for the BJP-led alliance in the Bihar Assembly elections giving it 120 to 130 seats in the 243 member House.

The rival JD(U)-led Grand Alliance has been projected to get between 105 and 115 seats.

The poll showed that the NDA led in three phases–second, third and fourth while the other grouping led in the remaining two phases.

In the first phase comprising 49 seats, the Grand Alliance has been given 28 seats and the NDA 20. In the second phase with 32 seats, the alliances have been projected to get 12 and 19 respectively.

The BJP-led alliance is tipped to get 28 seats in the third phases, which has a total of 50 seats. The Grand Alliance gets 21 seats.

The fourth phase, which has 55 seats, the JD(U) alliance is predicted to 21 seats, 10 less than the NDA.
Surprisingly, the last phase, where Muslims and OBCs were a major factor, the NDA is predicted to get 27 of the 57 seats giving it a big edge. The JD(U)-led alliance is tipped to get only 28 seats.

Overall, the “Others” has been given 8 seats.

Yesterday at the end of the polling, most of the exit polls predicted a close fight giving an edge to the Grand Alliance while one poll predicted a clean sweep for the NDA.

Congress needs to change its leader from Rahul to Priyanka.. As long as RG is the leader, the party will descend to the last number...We don't need dynasty politics... /we need good leaders in the party..RG doesn't know how to speak compared to Modi...RG is wholly responsible for the downfall of congress..

its not a question of rahul or priyanka or thier future generations(dynasty politics). as long as one family holds reins in congress either directly or indirectly, congress will be doomed in future.
people will not vote for dynasty politics from hereon or for one family as current indian generation are educated, literate and are more aware of happenings not only in india but also the world.this is applicable to bjp and other parties also.

they also know that one family taking control of one party forever and thier family persons being lifetime president or vp without taking into consideration credibility or experience is not democracy and also aware that manmohan singh was just a figurehead pm during his term of 10 years and also indias credibility, economics and security sinking all time low in international arena and also who can forget the numerous corruption cases occurred during that regime.

    one more point to add:

    in tommorows bihar assembly results,
nitish may win or bjp may win.even though i voted bjp for centre,i want nitish to win and bjp to loose in bihar(this does not mean congress victory as people of bihar has rejected congress long ago and it will be just a victory of nitish kumars credibility) bcoz of nitishs pro people policies and also absolute power(for modis bjp) leads to arrogance.also this current bjp under modi should understand that if they indulge in anti people policies like recent swatch bharat cess or removing lpg subsidy and indulging in mindless divesting of govt shares in public sector companies and handing it to corporates, then they will also face same situation like what congress faced in 2014.

I doubt that BJP would come as majority in Bihar. The grand alliance of Lallu & Co has got a good chance. The sad part is even if Lallu & Co wins, its not a revival of Cong as they are just passengers who have clung on to an already filled bus. A 100 year old party is now reduced to a 12th player to tag along some other parties to fight the BJP. Its really not good news.

Upper Caste people are enjoying Reservation in very profitable Temple Priesthood and Temple land grab and also village Patel posts since last 4000 years. If they are ready to forgo this Reservation for upper-castes which they have been enjoying since ages, then Dalits will also forgo the Govt Job Reservation which they got only since 60 years.

You are right Ramakrishna AK Mangalore. In India the Govt Jobs are only 3% of the total jobs created in the Economy including private Sector. Private Sector Jobs are reserved for Powerful castes as usual.
In whole of India there are more than Fifty Lakh Hindu temples ( in Karnataka alone there are 35,000 Endowment Temples and 70,000 private temple), and in these 50 lakh temples every temple gives livelihood to at least two families of Priests, which means One Crore priest families are dependent on these reserved jobs of Priests in temples.
Compare this with Jobs given to SC/ST in Govt Sector under Reservation? It is not even one-tenth of Reservation of Temple jobs for Priestly castes !

Important factor is the 3rd Phase .This is BJP Stronghold .ABP-Nielson got wrong or right needs to be seen .If there were BJP non ticket getters splitting the votes then only JDU alliance may get edge .Other wise I see NDTV and Chanakya -Today as right exit poll with NDA emerging as winner

Why give so much importance to exist polls, when for factual results, there is hardly any time.
After Bihar voting, Govt started hitting poor people.
    a. Railway ticket cancellation, refund is reduced.
    b. Swatch Bharat Tax is added.
Do any Govt does good to people except themselves?

Surprisingly all the channels given exit poll results of Bihar on 5th of Nov. and NDTV given on 6th. BY observing the opinion builders yesterday on NDTV they were all pro BJP elements. In the general election, Indian people's mood was to change then existing govt, and they elected BJP led NDA . but immediately afterwards people realised the hidden agenda of BJP and RSS and the same people rejected them in assembly poll of delhi, may be Bihar, soon in Assam and W.Bengal.Let us wait stll 8th opinion wale ka BHANDA PUTDJAYEGA.

5th phase result shows credibility of the survey. On this Muslim and Yadavs dominated area in 2014 general election when there was Modi wave then NDA succeeded in leading just 7 assembly seat out of 57 even after Muslim vote divided between JDU and RJD.Now this time there is no Modi wave and also JDU-RJD fighting together then just imagine the chances for BJP.ANyway we have one more days to wait and watch
