Mangaluru, Nov 7: Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill will hold its first-ever inter-school fest, 'Carmel Ingenium - 2015' on Monday November 9 at the school auditorium.
This was announced by Sr Melissa, principal of Mount Carmel Central School in a press meet here on Saturday November 7.
"A one-day cultural, literary and technical fest 'Carmel Ingenium' will be organized by the students of Mount Carmel Central School in association with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. The entire event has been planned and organized by the students. Twenty schools will be participating in the event. A total of 149 students divided into eight different committees along with 8 event forums will be involved in making 'Ingenium' happen. The host school will refrain from participating in this event.
"The objective of conducting the fest is to enhance the organizing and managing skills of the students of the host school and to act as a catalyst in their learning process. Moreover, it will also provide a platform for students to explore and appreciate the untapped talent concealed in them and showcase it in an enthralling manner," she said.
Radhika Bansal student coordinator speaking on the occassion said, "There will be group and individual events like 'Chameleon', 'Sur-taal', '90 seconds to fame' accompanied by the mainstream exciting quiz and technical events."
Lolita Lobo, Rebecca Albuquerque and Sowmiya Sumith were present.
