Udupi, Nov 11: On the auspicious day of deepavali, Sri Vidyavallabha Teertha Swamiji, paryaya Sri Kaniyur math performed abhyanga sthana at Krishna math on Tuesday November 10.







On deepavali, all Hindus awake early in the morning and have the traditional oil bath.

At Krishna math, Sri Vidyavallabha Swamiji’s followers rubbed and massaged his body from head to toe with gingelly oil extracted from fermented sesame seeds mixed with yellow powder. All the members bathed in holy water prepared the previous night. A special prayer was held at Krishna math.

The Swamiji received blessings from his mother Malati Acharya and from senior seers.

A traditional water collection ritual was performed in the presence of Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji and other seers at Admar math on Monday November 9 night.
