LPG bullet tanker tumbles into drain - driver suffers injuries

Puttur, Nov 19: A LPG bullet tanker tumbled into the drain located by the side of national highway at the Neerakatte road bend in Bajathur village near Uppinangady in the taluk on national highway 75 on Wednesday November 18.

The tanker, which was empty, was moving from Bengaluru towards Bengaluru when the driver lost control over the vehicle at the steep bend at Neerakatte. In this accident, driver of the tanker, Singaravelu (38), a Tamil Nadu-based man now residing in Nellore, suffered serious injuries to his head. Cleaner of the truck, Rama, escaped with minor injuries.

The tanker got separated from its main body in the accident. The injured driver was admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru. A case about the accident was registered in the traffic police station in the town.
