Mangalore, Aug 15: The Karnataka Lalitahakala Academy (KLA) which had organized its 36th Annual Art exhibition ceremony here at Gulbraga recently, feted the Mangalorean-born creative artist Santhosh Andrade of Chilimbi, for his art ‘Nenapina Angaladalli’.
Santhosh was conferred The Karnataka Lalitha Kala Academy Award alongwith a cash prize of Rs 5,000. The said award was presented by Sharanabhasaveshwara Math’s head Dr Sharana Basappa Appa.
Brief information on Santhosh Andrade: Santhosh is the son of Edward Andrade and Jacintha Andrade residing at Adarshanagar, Chilimbi and is an old student of Mahalasa School of Art.
Santhosh in addition to the above award has also won two gold medals at the national level Varnika Chitra competition. Moreover at the 7th Dakshina Bharatha regional art exhibition, organised by Kyamlin he was awarded with the Art Foundation Award.
