Venkatesh plays funny policeman in his next film

Chennai, Nov 21 (IANS): Actor Daggubati Venkatesh will essay the role of a policeman, who will leave the audience in splits, in his next Telugu outing with director Dasari Maruthi.

Rumoured to be titled "Rajaratnam", the film will go on the floors early next year.

"Venkatesh will don the khaki. However, he won't be playing a serious character, but one that will entertain the audiences," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

After films such as "Lakshmi" and "Tulasi", Nayantara will be teaming up for the third time with Venkatesh in this project.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh is said to have signed another project in the language. He plans to announce it formally soon.
