Mangaluru, Nov 23: In connection with the murder attempt with lethal weapons launched on Sandeep Shetty from Jeppu Kudupady and his friend, Avinash, on November 18, Pandeshwar police have arrested seven persons.
The arrested persons are Kaushik Benne (20) and Abbishek Abhi (20) from Pandehwar Shivanagara, Nikhil (19) from Santhekatte Udupi, Shreyas Rao Sachchu (22) from Padil Jalligudde, Prasad (23) from Jeppu Gujjarakere, and Nitesh S Shetty (19) from Mangaladevi here. In addition, a minor also has been arrested in connection with the above crime, it is learnt. Four swords, an iron rod, and three motor bikes, which are said to have been used for the crime, have been confiscated by the police.
The policemen said that the murder attempt was related to settlement of old scores, and that they are looking out for some more persons who indirectly were involved with this incident.
