Mangaluru: NIIT Ltd conducts IT inter-school quiz competition

Mangaluru, Nov 24: As part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Ladyhill English Primary School, an inter-school IT quiz competition was organized by NIIT Ltd on November 21.





















The chief guest for this event was Sr Edna Furtado, the educational secretary of the Apostolic Carmel Society. Sudhir Vas, the marketing regional delivery head of NIIT Ltd along with his team members conducted the IT quiz. The quiz master was Ashish Donti. Nearly 19 schools competed in the event.

All were welcomed by the Ladyhill school band at 9.30 am and were then led to their respective classrooms. 6 teams qualified for the final round.

The winners in the junior category are:
I place:SMS English Medium School Brahmavar.
II place: Ladyhill English Higher Primary School, Mangaluru.
III place: St Mary’s Higher Primary School, Falnir.

The winners in the senior category are:
I place: St Aloysius High School, Mangaluru.
II place: Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill.
III Place: Canara High School CBSE, Mangaluru.

Sr Celine Vera, joint secretary of Ladyhill Institutions distributed the trophies to the winners. Thus the inter-school IT quiz competition– an interesting combination of exhibition of student skills, combination of an Olympiad and quiz in the field of computer science concluded.
