Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (SM)

Karkala, August 17: "Neketr Phanteachem", a Konkani Marian Devotional Songs' music album was released at Kanajar Parish here on Tuesday August 14.

Mabel Nazareth, vice-president of parish pastoral council of Kanajar was the chief guest. The album is composed and directed by  Fr Valerian Mendonca, principal of Pompei College, Kirem and Fr Clement Mascarenhas, principal of St Sebastian PU College, Peremannur.

Harmonisation is done by Fr Walter Albuquerque and Fr Alwyn D'Cunha, parish priest of Kanajar is the producer of the album.

It has 10 devotional, faith-evoking hymns on Mother Mary. Denis Castelino, parish priest of Alangar church and Denis D'Souza, secretary of parish pastoral council of Kanajar were also present on the occasion. 

Fr Alwyn D'Cunha felicitated Fr Valerian Mendonca and Fr Clement Mascarenhas for their masterpiece of 'Neketr Phanteachem'. He also presented mementos to all the sponsors.

All the hymns in "Neketr Phanteachem" are written and composed to experience the motherly love of Blessed Virgin Mary and to seek her intercession. The children of the parish performed a beautiful dance to one of the hymns. Sr Meena compered the programme.
