Mangalore, Aug 20: Dakshina Kannada (DK) district is getting funds at the opportune time which has given major boost for development, said B Nagaraj Shetty, DK district in-charge minister as well as fisheries and religious endowment.
He was delivering an address on ‘Development of Dakshina Kannada District’ held at Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) at their Meeting Hall on Monday August 20.
The state government has been paying more attention to the overall development of the district, as all the sectors like tourism, hospital, education and other sectors in the district are getting sufficient aids, he added.
Detailing the aids, the minister said that schools are being provided with computers, hospitals are getting good quality equipments, sufficient funds are being released and no area has been discriminated.
John Prasad Menezes, KCCI president, welcomed the dignitaries. Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, KCCI vice-president, introduced the chief guest. KCCI honorary secretary M Shekhar Poojary, proposed vote of thanks. KCCO honorary treasurer M Ahmed Bava, read the memorandum on behalf of KCCI.
