Mujahideen Conference: The Kerala-based Nadwatthul Mujahideen conference which is held once in every five years will be held from January 31 to February 3, 2008 at Mallappuram in Kerala, according to a press release from the South Karnataka Salafi movement.
Famous Mujahideen scholars including Maula V Hussain Salafi, Mayankutti Methar will be speaking on the topic “Human deliverance” informed the release.
MBA Induction Programme: The Induction programme of the 10th batch of MBA students, a bridge course was held at the Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management here on Monday, Aug. 20.

Elected President of LICAOI, Udupi division: Gurucharan Rao was elected president of the LIC Agents Organisation of India (LICAOI) Udupi division, which has jurisdiction over DK, Udupi, Shimoga, Davangere, Chickmagalur and Chitradurga districts.

Memorandum to IGP: The IGP (Western Range) A M Prasad and SP Sateesh Kumar were submitted a memorandum, by the members of the Karnataka Muslim Parishath urging them to direct police stations in coastal districts to expedite the verification process of passport applications to ensure speedy delivery of passports to applicants.
Parishat president K S M Masood stated that the verification procedure was delayed and police were seeking irrelevant documents. They complained that this delay extends beyond four months causing a great deal of inconvienience particularly to elderly citizens who were planning trips to Haj.
