Mangalore, Aug 21: Programme honouring outstanding students of Pezar deanery was held in Suratkal Holy Family School hall on Sunday August 19. The students who secured first and second place  in SSLC, PUC and degree examinations were presented with a memento and merit certificate.

The parents of the students were present during the occasion. Fr John Mendonca, Vicar Var addressed the gathering on the occasion and congratulated the students. Dr Jerald Pinto, editor of Amcho Sandesh was the chief guest. Fr J B D’ Souza, parish priest of Sacred Heart Church, Suratkal and Peter Paul D’ Souza, vice-president of Sacred Heart Church, Surathkal were present on the dais.

Alwyn Sequiera, president welcomed the gathering. Melwyn Albuquerque, secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Roydon Roche and George Ligoury D’ Souza compered the programme. The programme was organized by the Catholic Sabha, Pezar deanery.
