Dubai, Aug 24: Konkani Yuva Feast – 07 was a grand success which brought together the Konkani youth to celebrate their much cherished annual event in the home far away in the gulf country of Dubai, held on Friday Aug 24 morning.
The programme commenced with Introduction by Ullas Fernandes, followed with hymn by Lenny Noronha, Febela, Shaina, Anoof
The programme was inaugurated by Fr Freddy D’Souza (spiritual director), Mamtha (president) and Sandy (vice president) by lighting the lamp. After the inaugural address by Fr Freddy, Konkani Yuva Avaz celebrated India's 60th Independence day by cutting the cake.
Shahzaad Ahmed, director of marketing and retail, LG & Olympus distribution house, Al Sayegh Brothers, conducted the educative session giving guidance on 'Basic Workplace Skills', which was indeed innovative at the competitive working atmosphere in the gulf.
Deepak unplugged brass band for the delight of youth crowd with his melodious music. He also presented Jivitha Zor, a one act play to bring home the message of saving the lives by donating blood.
Lancy Noronha, Shaina, Mario Rego, Febela, Anup along with musicians Kethan and Vincy played some super hit songs, during the lunch break. Matilda and group performed salsa dance which enthralled the spectators.
The sponsors, co-sponsors and the organizers involved in making this event a grand success were being felicitated. During the event, Daijiworld correspondent Ramcy Fernandes was felicitated for its media support extended to Konkan Yuva.
DJ Goddy, Konkan Yuva's distinguished member kept the gathering busy on the dance floor while dancing to his various dance numbers.
Spot prizes, games were conducted during the event. Sandy and Mamtha, proposed vote of thanks.
