Mangalore: Educationist Kepul Dinesh Nayak (67) Passes away

Mangalore / Mumbai, Aug 27: Canara High School Association's former secretary and educationist Kepul Dinesh Nayak (67) passed away in Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday, August 26, following a cardiac arrest.

Nayak had relentlessly endeavoured for the development and progress of Canara group of educational institutions, serving as its secretary from 1991. He was instrumental in the founding of Canara Engineering College at Benjanapadavu in Bantwal.

Being a good tennis player, he had served as secretary of Mangalore Club and director of ICDS Securities Ltd, besides being associated with several other organizations.

He was a law graduate and had also obtained an MBA from the US. He was also an expert financial analyst.

Nayak is survived by wife and a son. His mortal remains are being flown to Mangalore on Monday, August 27, followed by final rites at 2 pm.

    Sorry to hear about the sad demise of our friend Dinesh. Had known him since his university days in 1950s and appreciated the work he was doing in the field of eduacation in Mangalore. May his soul rest in peace. We will miss him.
