Mangaluru, Dec 28: A person who was injured in scooter accident, and had been undergoing treatment at a hospital at Deralakatte near here died on Sunday December 27. He has been identified as Tanesh (28) from Kumpala Hanuman Nagar near here.

Tanesh used to operate a tailoring shop at Mangaladevi here. On the evening of December 18, he had finished the day's work and was going to his house at Kumpala in his scooter, when his vehicle hit a woman crossing national highway 66 at Kallapu near Thokkottu. Tanesh thereafter lost his balance and hit the divider. Although he too was injured in the accident, Tanesh took the injured woman and got her admitted into a private hospital at Thokkottu.

Tanesh had thereafter called his brothers to inform them about the accident. His brothers, who came to the hospital, noticed that Tanesh had suffered injury in his head. They immediately rushed him to Deralakatte and admitted him into a private hospital there.

Because of excessive bleeding, Tanesh did not respond to treatments and lost his life, it is gathered.
