Kasargod, Dec 28: Two ATM machines, one belonging to Vijaya Bank and the other, to Bank of Baroda, located near Hosdurg main post office in the district, were found to have been damaged on Sunday December 27 morning. Apparently, miscreants had made attempt to break the machines and take away cash stored inside them.

In case of both the machines, the robbers had tried to break open the portion of the machine from where cash is dispensed. But during this effort, both the ATMs stopped functioning, after which they took to their heels. These ATMs do not have any security guards.

Footage of the miscreants and their actions have been captured by CCTV cameras. The policemen are now trying to identify the culprits. Finger print experts from the town went to Hosdurg and helped the investigators by collecting finger prints. On the basis of complaints made by bank managers, the policemen have registered cases.
